In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.

The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Update
